There are many ways of giving to the Garden. 

• Consider being a member, which will keep you informed of all Garden activities, and provide you with special member discounts.
  
  
• Unrestricted gifts to the Garden of any size are always appreciated, and help us with day-to-day maintenance of gardens, facilities, and programs.
  
  
• You can honor family and friends with an inscribed brick paver, and a teak garden bench.
  
  
• You can give a designated gift to one of our special projects, such as new patio gardens, or shade for the amphitheater.

The ultimate gift is endowment.  Endowment gifts are invested in perpetuity; only the interest is used for Garden operations. The Garden is affiliated with the San Diego Foundations’ Endow San Diego program.  Individual gardens can be endowed and dedicated to the giver or another honored person.   There are many giving vehicles with tax advantages to the donor; contact your tax advisor  for information about gifts of real property, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, and other  possible ways of giving.

A separate tax deductible organization, Friends of the Water Conservation Garden, was formed in 2005 to raise funds for the Garden. The Friends have already made major contributions to the Garden's operating budget and have added numerous plants throughout the Garden, especially in the Bird and Butterfly Garden. They are also involved in a corporate membership campaign.
